Dr. Sarah Byrnes is a native Texan who grew up in Dallas and Kentucky. She received her Bachelors of Biology and Kinesiology from the University of Kentucky. After coming home to Texas, she earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry. While in school, she completed training at the South Texas Veterans Eye Clinic, received training in the management of retinal conditions, and Myopia control.
Dr. Byrnes is certified in fitting orthokeratology and MySight contact lenses for myopia management. She is experienced in the medical management of a variety of ocular conditions including dry eye disease, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration
In her spare time, she enjoys trying new restaurants, experimenting with new recipes, exploring parks, needlepointing, and spending time with friends and family.
