Causes of Ptosis

For some people, it's caused by a tumor that forms somewhere around or behind the eye. Certain illnesses can also cause it, including myasthenia gravis, stroke, Horner syndrome, or diabetes.
Symptoms of Ptosis
The main symptom is seeing one or both of the upper eyelids drooping. The drooping may cover the pupil so that the entire upper vision field is blocked by the eyelid. Other symptoms are pain and tiredness around the affected eye or eyes. Your eyes may also be either too dry or too watery.
