Dr. Amanda J. Brown
Dr. Amanda J. Brown is a therapeutic optometrist and glaucoma specialist. Dr. Brown was born and raised in Connersville Indiana and attended undergrad at Indiana University where she earned a bachelor’s of science degree in Nutrition Science. She then attended the University of Houston School of Optometry in 2008.
Dr. Brown then proceeded to work in a private practice in the Houston area for ten years with emphasis in medically based optometry focusing on both glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy. Dr. Brown also takes a whole body approach to treating eye disease given her background in nutrition.
Dr. Brown is happily married and has two children, twins actually. They are one of the reasons she moved out to west Texas for the great schools and environment to raise children. In addition to a husband and twins, Dr. Brown also enjoys spending time outdoors with her three dogs and home improvement projects and crafting such as stained glass, crochet, and pottery in her free time.
