Notice to our Patients on the Coronavirus Outbreak

At Burcham Eyecare Center, we are doing everything we can to ensure the safety of our patients, staff and visitors. From the beginning of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak, we’ve been working closely with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and other agencies to stay up to date with the latest information.

In light of the Governor's "Safer at Home" order and the expiration of the "Stay at Home" order issued by Tri-County Health, we are now able to see our patients again for routine eye exams, elective surgeries and other non-urgent matters.

To comply with the guidelines, our office has reduced our patient load to 50%, for the time being.  Our office hours are back to normal Monday thru Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.  The Building Management for HealthOne has temporarily closed all entrances to our building and our patients will have to enter through the main entrance of the hospital at 700 Potomac (the building closest to 6th Avenue off Potomac) and temperature checks are being done to gain entry to the building.

Your health and safety are our highest priority.  We have implemented preventative measures such as frequent hand washing and frequent disinfecting of high-touch areas and exam rooms.  Our staff, as well as our patients, will be wearing face-masks and gloves to prevent the spread of germs.  We are also implementing new check in procedures that follow the rules for "social distancing".  Patients are able to wait in their cars after they check in with the front desk or can still use our waiting room in which the chairs have been spaced out more than normal so patients can keep distance from others.

Due to the seriousness of this outbreak we have implemented new visitor restrictions, we are taking these measures to protect the safety of our patients and our staff.
