Below are some of the optometry and ophthalmology services we offer in Aurora.

Eye Care for Aurora, CO

LASIK Eye Surgery Services

Sick of relying on glasses or contacts? LASIK surgery may be right for you, and our eye doctor will help you find out. This relatively quick, high-tech procedure uses laser technology to reshape your cornea and restore proper focus. As soon as a day later, you could enjoy clear or vastly improved vision, but your results will depend on the quality of your pre-op and post-op care. We provide both.

While we don’t perform LASIK on site, we do cover LASIK evaluations, referrals, and follow-up eye care. Our eye doctor will start by examining and interviewing you thoroughly, to see if your refractive errors, eye shape, and overall health make you a good candidate for LASIK. If so, we will refer you to a LASIK surgeon and schedule follow-up appointments to keep track of your progress and minimize your risk of complications.

Clear Lens Extractions

Some patients have such severe vision loss that LASIK surgery cannot improve it. Also known as lens replacement surgery, clear lens extractions are one possible alternative. If you have extreme presbyopia (farsightedness), you may be a good candidate for this outpatient surgery.

Pterygium Treatments and Excisions

Also known as surfer’s eye, a pterygium is a cornea growth that covers the white part of your eye and may be slightly raised or irritating. Eye drops may help reduce the size of your growth, but surgical excisions are necessary for some patients.

Blepharitis Treatment

Eyelid inflammation (blepharitis) has many possible causes, but bacterial infections and allergies are top contenders. We offer treatment for this painful and annoying condition, including eye drops, ointments, and antibiotics that attack the source of your swelling.

Dry Eye Treatment

Are your eyes always dry, red, and itchy? Genetic or environmental factors may be to blame. Our eye doctor will work with you to pinpoint possible causes, stimulate or simulate tears, and relieve the painful symptoms of chronic dry eye.

Diagnosis and Treatment of Degenerative Eye Diseases

The aging process affects everyone differently, but it always increases your risk of degenerative eye disease, which can cause permanent vision loss without proper treatment. Glaucoma, macular degeneration, and cataracts are all common in older patients, and our eye doctor offers comprehensive medical eye exams to catch warning signs as soon as possible. We also treat these diseases at our eye care center, helping patients manage symptoms and stop or slow down the process of degeneration.
