Our Maple Ridge Eye Care Optometrists and Team Support CNIB Night Steps
At Maple Ridge Eye Care, we believe in giving back to the community that has loyally supported us throughout the years. We provide charitable donations to various community events, keeping a focus on health-related causes.
An organization that has always been meaningful to our doctors and staff is the CNIB – the Canadian National Institute for the Blind. This charity provides community-based knowledge and support across the country to ensure Canadians who are blind or partially sighted can build their independence and lead the lives they want.
This year, we’re proud to support CNIB Night Steps, a fun 5 km walk under the stars. Our office has donated $1000 to a local team who will be walking on Saturday, September 24th at Holland Park in Surrey to raise funds to support CNIB’s vision rehabilitation services, such as learning to travel independently using a white cane or braille literacy skills. After the 5 km walk, there will be an evening celebration with music, fun, family and friends. This is a fantastic way for our office to help support a worthwhile cause and ensure important resources reach blind or partially sighted individuals here in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows.
