The way your lower eyes look plays a very large role in your facial appearance. When you have lower eye lid surgery, it can improve the way you look but also psychologically improve the way you feel. After lower lid surgery, many patients tell us they feel younger and better about their life.
Lower eyelid blepharoplasty can be technically more challenging than upper eyelid blepharoplasty due to its slimmer margin for error. Eyelid malposition and other unfavorable results are more common if performed incorrectly. The surgery performed will be individual to you. For example, eyelid tendons may need to be tightened, skin may need to be removed, fat may need to be excised, and/or the mid-face may need to be lifted.
Dr. Parbhu is fellowship trained through the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery so she has an added level of expertise in her approach to surgery of the upper half of the face. Dr. Parbhu takes an individualized approach to each patient to assess their needs. Lower eyelid blepharoplasty may be combined with upper eyelid surgery (ptosis repair and/or upper eyelid blepharoplasty) as well brow ptosis repair. She develops a customized surgical plan to help you see better and look better.
