Although the lower eyelid is the most sought after procedure, the upper eyelid procedure is a more difficult surgery to perform. The reason why is because there is a slimmer margin for error during the process. The doctor may need to perform several steps in order to successfully complete the surgery, including removing skin as necessary, tightening eyelid tendons, lifting the mid-face, and/or excising fat.
