Queens Village Optician

The Queens Village is a primarily residential neighborhood in the eastern part of the New York City borough of Queens. It was founded in the 1640s. Earlier, the Queens Village was known as Little Plains. A sign above the Long Island Railroad Station exists as a tribute to this part of Queens Village history. The Lloyd Harbor in New York, now in Suffolk County, was known as Queens Village from 1685 until as late as 1883.

If you live in Queens Village, your Zip code is going to be: 11427, 11428, 11429

The region was initially known as Brushville after Thomas Brush. He was a blacksmith shop who prospered and built several shops and factories. The railroad arrived in the region on March 1, 1837. The first station in the area was called Flushing Avenue in 1837, Delancy Avenue by June 20, 1837, and Brushville by November 27, 1837. After a voting round by the residents in 1856, Brushville was renamed to Queens.
