Don’t See Your Plan?? – No Problem! We’ll Take Care of All the Paperwork!
If you don’t see your plan listed, we can still see you in our office. We are out-of-network providers for your plan. We will be happy to file your claim for you. You may already do something similar at your dentist’s office whereby you simply pay out of pocket for your visit, and your dental plan reimburses you directly! Similarly, you pay for your visit, and we file your vision or insurance claim and your insurance company then reimburses you directly based on your particular plan’s out-of-network benefits. It’s that simple!
Why Isn’t My Vision Plan Listed?
It’s a difficult decision to decide which vision plans to accept. Doctors must agree to accept a deep discount from our customary fees in order to accept vision plans. So much so that we reach a point that we may be forced to do one of 3 things:
- We may be forced to compromise the quality of the eye exam we perform by reducing the number of testing procedures for our patients,
- Increase the number of patients seen per day, thereby hurrying through the exam, and spending LESS time with our patients
- Not accept the plan.
Given these options, we decided we would rather not accept a plan that forces us to compromise the quality of your care and our ethics. Instead, we prefer to give our patients better quality care. But, there is good news. We are out of network providers for plans not listed above.

If you have ever had to get information from your insurance company, you understand how difficult it can be. Verifying insurance benefits can take considerable time, so when scheduling your exam, please have your insurance information (both medical and vision discount plan) available so that we can have your benefits verified ahead of your visit.
PLEASE REMEMBER: Insurance and vision plans vary widely. Please be aware that plans RARELY cover the entire cost of your eyeglass or contact lens purchase. PLEASE FAMILIARIZE YOURSELF WITH YOUR PLAN BEFORE COMING TO OUR OFFICE.
