Sumeet Gupta, MD

 

Sumeet Gupta, MD is a board-certified general ophthalmologist with subspecialty training in the management and treatment of glaucoma, including laser therapy, glaucoma surgery and cataract surgery, with or without minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries. A native of Cumberland, MD, Dr. Gupta is a graduate of the University of Virginia Medical School in Charlottesville, VA. Following a medical internship at George Washington University Hospital Center, he completed his residency in Ophthalmology at West Virginia University, Morgantown, WV. He went on to complete fellowship training in glaucoma at West Virginia University. Before relocating to Northern Virginia, Dr. Gupta was an assistant professor in ophthalmology at West Virginia University.

Dr. Gupta lives in Northern Virginia and enjoys spending time with family, pre-covid travels, playing golf (poorly), and exploring the DMV area. Despite having lived in the vicinity for on and off for years, there are always new places to see.
