Jennifer B. Dao, MD

  • Jennifer B. Dao, MD is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus. Dr. Dao specializes in amblyopia, pediatric glaucoma, cataracts and performs an adjustable suture technique for adult strabismus. A native of Michigan, Dr. Dao is a 2007 graduate of the Georgetown University School of Medicine. She completed her residency at Georgetown Hospital/Washington Hospital Center, where she served as Chief, and a Pediatric Ophthalmology Fellowship at Duke University.

    Dr. Dao was the recipient of the Teaching Award, voted on by the ophthalmic technician students as the best teacher during her fellowship at Duke Eye Center. She remains actively involved in pediatric glaucoma research and has presented her work on medical diseases affecting vision at national ophthalmology conferences. She is the author of the pediatric chapter of *The Ophthalmology Clinical Trials Handbook*, published in 2015.

    Dr. Dao lives with her husband and children in Northern Virginia and enjoys traveling, gardening and spending time with her family.
