About Us

The doctors of Eastside Eye Physicians have been providing the highest quality eye care in the Detroit metropolitan area since 1955.

All of our physicians are board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology or the American Osteopathic Board Certification. In addition to their commitment to their daily practice, the physicians have contributed countless hours to the development of future physicians, serving as Associate Clinical Professors of the Kresge Eye Institute and the Beaumont Eye Institute.

Collectively, our doctors hold active membership in the following organizations:

  • The American Medical Association
  • The American Academy of Ophthalmology
  • The American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons
  • The Michigan Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons
  • The Michigan State Medical Society
  • The Wayne County Medical Society
  • The Macomb County Medical Society
  • Board Members of Lakeshore Eye Surgery Center

Community Involvement

Our physicians and staff at Eastside Eye, along with many other volunteer ophthalmologists provide eye examinations to the clients at the annual Focus: HOPE visual health screening. This event takes place late summer/early fall at the Westside Food Distribution Center in Detroit. Physicians provide vision screening, microscopic examination of the front of the eye, and examination of the interior of the eye for adults. Age-appropriate vision screening and exams are offered for children. Patients identified with disease will be referred for follow-up care.

We are also involved in the annual Eastern Michigan Vision Walk to support the Foundation Fighting Blindness. Each year our doctors, staff, and friends participate in the 5k walk to raise money in support for this great cause.

We appreciate your entrusting us with your eye care. We treat your eyesight as a precious gift and look forward to preserving it over your lifetime.
