B.S. Gannon University, O.D. Pennsylvania College of Optometry

Specializes in glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, lasik, PRK, keratoconus, dry eye, ocular disease, and specialty contact lenses

Dr. Cymbor joined Nittany Eye Associates in 1997. He completed a one year residency/fellowship in hospital based optometry with an emphasis in ocular disease at the Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center.

He frequently lectures on all aspects of ocular disease with an emphasis in glaucoma. He is a principal investigator in numerous contact lens research studies. He is a glaucoma researcher and the co-director of the Glaucoma Institute of State College.

Awards and Achievements:
Pennsylvania’s “Young Optometrist of the year” in 2000, “Young Optometrist of the Year” by the American Optometric Association in 2001, He frequently lectures on all aspects of ocular disease with an emphasis in glaucoma. He is a principal investigator in numerous contact lens research studies. He is published in Optometry, Primary Care Optometry News, Optometric Management, New OD, and Optometry Times. He did the “Ask the Eye Doctor” radio show in 2009. He is a member of the Optometric Glaucoma Society.
