While Dr. Amalia Davis will take the time to answer every question you have, there are some that people want to ask before their appointment. Do you offer pediatric eye care? 

Yes! In addition to standard eye exams and vision therapy for children, we are also excited to offer InfantSEE, a way to help fund eye care for babies with vision issues.

How often do I need an eye exam?

If you are not having any problems with your vision, it is generally recommended to get a check-up about once a year. If you are having vision issues, however, make an appointment as soon as possible.

When should my child get an eye exam?

If there are no problems with your child's vision, it's generally recommended that they start yearly visits in early elementary school. If they have come home from school recently, however, complaining that they cannot see the board or their textbooks, then give us a call.

If I can't see properly, do I have to wear glasses?

The answer used to be yes, but today there are a lot of other options for vision correction. While glasses are almost always a possibility, ask your optometrist about the possibility of getting contact lenses or qualifying for LASIK surgery. For children, there are even eye drops available that can slow down the progression of myopia, making it possible for children who catch vision problems early enough to just wear their glasses on some occasions.
