ENHANCE YOUR VISION. CHANGE YOUR LIFE.

Most people experience some vision challenges during their lifetime. These challenges may be work-related eye strain. They may be the result of brain trauma or stroke. They may even be self-made challenges to improve visual skills. Whatever the reason, the Vision Learning Center of Champions in Spring, TX has experienced staff who are ready to work with you and your family to improve visual skills. The Vision Learning Center of Champions offers both rehabilitation and behavioral therapies for patients of all ages.

Behavioral Therapy

Visual therapy is physical therapy for the eyes. Its goal is to teach the eyes to correct themselves using a broad range of techniques and tools. Lenses, prisms, and filters may be used depending on a patient’s needs. Physical objects such as balance boards and metronomes can help with visual synchronization

Family Eye Care

Our one-on-one approach to visual therapy underscores the importance of each patient's unique circumstances. Every patient is evaluated for overall eye health in areas such as refraction (glasses), oculomotor control (eye-tracking), and stereopsis (depth perception). The initial assessment includes an evaluation of sensorimotor and neuro-visual skills. The examination tests how well your vision integrates with the other senses. The test results highlight how your vision is supporting or interfering with your performance potential.

Once the initial evaluation is complete, Dr. Amalia Davis prepares a vision therapy plan tailored to a patient's specific needs. Dr. Davis takes a therapeutic approach that requires the active engagement of our staff, the patient, and the patient's family.

Dr. Davis provides vision therapy solutions to patients of all ages from infants to seniors. Whether it is general or specialized care, Dr. Davis and the staff at the Vision Learning Center of Champions are committed to helping patients that are experiencing visual difficulties.

Pediatric Eye Care

In many cases, school is the place where children learn they have vision difficulties. It may be as simple as needing corrective lenses but in some situations, it may require more specialized treatments. For example, a child may have amblyopia or lazy eye which limits the child’s visual development. The degree of eye misalignment may not be obvious but it can lead to difficulty in reading. Subtle misalignments can contribute to eye strain or fatigue. Dr. Davis works with children of all ages to help identify and correct vision deficiencies.
