About Us

The Vision Learning Center of Champions

Our Center is committed to serving the vision needs of the greater Houston, TX, area.  Whether it is an eye exam or specialized therapy, the Vision Learning Center of Champions uses rehabilitative and behavioral treatments to help patients achieve their visual performance potentials.

Our Goal

The Center's goal is to use neuro-visual therapy to enhance our patient's visual performance.  The treatments are designed to help vision problems associated with academic studies, work-related eye-strain or fatigue, and traumatic brain injuries.

Our Mission

Our mission is to support anyone experiencing vision difficulties.  To achieve our mission, the Learning Center offers eye exams, corrective lenses, and other traditional vision services as well as vision therapy.

Our Services

At the Vision Learning Center, we provide exams to detect and treatments to improve:

  • Ocular motility dysfunctions
  • Eye teaming problems
  • Strabismus
  • Amblyopia
  • Accommodative disorders
  • Visual information processing disorders

Neuro-Visual Exams

A patient's visual system is evaluated during a neuro-visual exam.  The exam targets such areas as:

  • Visual Perception
  • Directional Perception
  • Visual Memory
  • Visual-Motor Integration
  • Reading Efficiency

Additional tests may be performed depending on patient requirements.

Eye and Vision

During an eye exam, Dr. Davis will ask patients about their medical and vision history.  She will test visual acuity and determine if corrective lenses are required.  She will also assess eye functionality, including depth perception, peripheral vision, and focusing.  Eye health is evaluated through a physical examination of the eye. Tests for glaucoma and cataracts are performed as well.

Contact Lenses

Contact lenses are an excellent way to correct refractive errors in vision. However, they are medical devices that must be properly prescribed.  Contact lens exams include checks not only for refractive vision errors, but also determines eye health.  Because each individual's eye anatomy and position is unique, contacts need to be fitted by professionals.

Pediatric Vision Care

Dr. Davis focuses on providing vision care for children as well as adults. Vision care isn't just something for older individuals who begin to develop age-related vision challenges like presbyopia or cataracts. Ensuring healthy eyes and vision should begin during infancy. That is why we participate in InfantSee, a program dedicated to giving free screening exams to infants younger than one year of age.

We also provide eyeglasses frames made specifically for children and petite faces. Children often require smaller and more durable eyeglasses options for vision correction, and here at the Vision Learning Center of Champions, we provide that.
