Susan Daniel, O.D. is the President of the  Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association (NORA),  an inter-disciplinary group of professionals dedicated to providing patients who have physical or cognitive disabilities as a result of an acquired brain injury with a complete ocular health evaluation and optimum visual rehabilitation education and services to improve their quality of life.

Dr. Daniel is in private practice with her husband, Christopher Davis, O.D., in Carlsbad, California.  The practice offers comprehensive examinations for adults and children, contact lenses, laser surgery consultations, treatment of ocular disease, visual efficiency and visual perceptual examinations, and vision rehabilitation therapy.  Prior to opening the practice in 1992, she was on the clinical staff at the Southern California College of Optometry in Family Practice and Pediatric Service.

Dr. Daniel has a special interest in serving children and adults with disabilities. She serves as a consultant for the North Coastal Consortium for Special Education and the Tri-City Medical Center Acute Rehabilitation Services in the visual rehabilitation treatment for brain-injured patients and stroke victims.

The parent of an autistic child, Dr. Daniel specializes in the visual development of children with autism.  She is a frequent international lecturer on brain injury rehabilitation and visual development for patients with Autism.

Dr. Daniel obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California at Davis in 1987 and her Doctor of Optometry degree at the Southern California College of Optometry in 1991.  She is a member of the American Optometric Association, College of Optometry Vision Development, Brain Injury Foundation, Talk About Curing Autism and Autism Society of America.
