MEET KYLE WAY | MARKETING AND OUTREACH SPECIALIST
Kyle has called Grand Rapids his home for more than eight years since graduating from Ferris State University with a degree in Television and Digital Media Production. West Michigan grabbed his heart immediately with great beer, great food, and easy access to some of the best beaches in the world. He frequents PJ Hoffmaster State Park and Holland State Park where he and his wife, Julez, got engaged. Kyle and Julez met while attending Ferris State and have been inseparable ever since.
His theatre experience starts way back in middle school where he was an actor, and while he didn't continue his acting career (except in Drama and Forensics class), he was the sound engineer for Ferris State's production of "The Full Monty" in 2009. The only performing he does these days is at Karaoke on Friday or Saturday nights at Fulton Street Pub singing Matchbox 20, .38 Special, or his new go-to song "Shut Up and Dance" by Walk The Moon. Most of his time is now spent behind the camera as one-half of Way Creative, the video production company that he co-owns with Julez. (Kyle and Juelz were behind the magic of all of Circle’s 2017 promotional videos and show trailers.)
For fun, Kyle enjoys binge-watching his favorite TV shows which include, "How I Met Your Mother," "Parks and Rec," and, "Futurama." Kyle and Julez have three cats, all named after "Futurama" characters—Bender, Leela, and Fry. He also is a big fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Harry Potter, Star Wars, and shares a love of Batman with Julez. In addition to going to the beach, Kyle loves to go camping and usually makes a yearly trip to the Leelanau Peninsula to visit the wineries, breweries, and enjoy the Sleeping Bear Dunes as well as the other attractions of the Traverse City area.
When he's not watching TV or outside, he's usually eating or cooking. Along with Julez, he is usually trying new recipes, or checking out some of the faire in the Grand Rapids Area. Some of his favorite places to grab a bite in Grand Rapids are Donkey Taqueria, Harmony Hall, and, Ando Asian Kitchen & Bar.
Kyle is very much looking forward to seeing what he can bring to the Circle Theatre family and can't wait to dive into the 2018 season!
