Ava Hendrickson - Practice Manager, ABO & NCLE Certified Optician/Contact LensTech
It is a great pleasure to have Ava as our Practice Administrator. Her enthusiasm for excellent patient care has earned her high praise from our patients. Ava came to us from Southern California where she was the Manager of a private practice optometry office in Newport Beach for eleven years. She has been an ABO certified Optician as well as an NCLE certified Contact Lens Technician since 1999. She has always enjoyed helping patients select just the right frame as well as working with them to ensure their lens choices are right for their lifestyle. She wore contact lenses until she had Lasik and enjoys working with her contact lens patients. Anyone coming in for a class knows the care she takes in training new contact lens wearers. Ava was a counselor with a Bachelor’s Degree is in Psychology until changing her path after marriage and children came along. She was born in Budapest, Hungary and has done a great deal of traveling around the world. She hopes to do a great deal more and loves to meet and interact with new people. Ava is far and away the best thing that has happened to our practice!
Christina Hanson - Patient Care Coordinator
Christina started with us in November 2016 and is settling in very nicely! If you have any billing or insurance questions, she would be the person that any patient from either office would speak with. Her friendly personality can't be missed as you enter the Fairfax office!
Aspen Hill Optometry Staff
Keshia Escobar - Front Desk
Keshia has been with us since July of 2015 expertly handling all the details and insurance for the patients at our Rockville office. She is tasked with getting everyone's insurance verified and is happy to help you get basic insurance and billing questions answered.
Dyanne Rojas - Technician
Dyanne is our go to girl in the Rockville office! She knows a great deal about Optical but she is a real star when it comes to working with the patients and handling all the different tests that might be needed. She is happy to help you understand what the test the doctor has requested is for and why it will help the doctor help you!
Ayana Stanford - Technician
Ayana joined us in September of 2018 when our previous technician was ready to move on after graduation. We are so happy that she is settled right in and is doing a great job. She is wonderful with patients and does a fantastic job getting the diagnostic tests just right.
Lynn Dubin - Optician
Lynn was an eyeglass frame representative before joining us many years ago, so she has a great eye for style and selects the frames we carry in the Rockville office. Be sure to talk to her if there is something you are interested in that we don't have - she will definitely try to get it for you! She is very well versed in all the insurance plans we take, so feel free to ask her how to get the most out of your benefits.
Thomas Wimbush - Optician
Thomas joined our staff in January of 2018 but has years of Optical experience. He is a gentleman in every way and a delight to work with - something that our patients enjoy finding out when it comes time to select their glasses!
