Written by Megan Gougon RYT 200: So I’m getting ready to teach my back-to-back yoga classes this morning and I’m feeling reminiscent. This month two years ago I began the most amazing journey when I started Yoga Lifestyle and Teacher Training at Red Lotus Yoga. Now two years later it has opened so many doors for me, and I could not be happier. I just want to thank Brian Granader and Kate Beane Granader for giving me this opportunity and believing in my ability to teach. I don’t know where I would be today if it weren’t for the two of you. I also want to thank all of the beautiful yogis and yoginis that started this journey with me: I miss you all so much and hope nothing but the best for you! If you are reading this and have been considering Teacher Training, DO IT! Take the class, take the training, you will not regret it! To view testimonials from past teacher trainees, click here!

Dear Brian: i've noticed many people are going through kind of a difficult time this year, as have i. It's the strangest thing. Moved away from home all of this internal mayhem arose within me and for the past 6 months i've been going through a kind of spiritual clearing(as my mom describes it).

Anyway, When this all first started, i thought back to you and my yoga teacher training and recalled some things we learned about meditation. i've been studying and practicing meditation through this process, it's become such an important part of my life, it's a slow process, but it's getting me through this clearing, and beginning to balance me in a way i would have never thought possible.

I'm not ALL better yet, but i can already tell i will be better than i've ever been for my days to come. I just want to let you know that i still think about the lessons i learned in my teacher training and what a great experience it was for me, even though i never became a teacher ... but who know, perhaps i'll be doing something in Meditation instead !

Thank you for everything,

Past Student
