Meet the Team

After having received her Honour’s Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto, Dr Pabla, OD, MSc earned her Optometric Degree from the New England College of Optometry in 2009. Dr Pabla has trained extensively in diverse areas of eye care, including the treatment and management of ocular diseases, emergency eye care, advanced dry eye treatment, pediatrics, and vision therapy. 

Dr Pabla completed a Master’s in Vision Science in 2009 while studying and developing grassroots approaches to pediatric eye care delivery in remote, underserved communities in the US and in developing countries. Techniques developed by Dr Pabla are currently in use in schools and nursery centers in Central America. 

Continuing her passion in pediatrics, binocular vision and vision therapy, Dr Pabla completed a post-doctoral residency program in Boston, MA. During this residency, Dr Pabla trained at world class institutions such as the New England Medical Center, Boston Medical Center and the Perkin’s School for the Blind. She is currently a member of the Vision Therapy of Canada and trains optometric students interested in vision therapy. 

Dr Pabla is actively involved with the Ontario Association of Optometrists (OAO) where she was elected to serve on the Board of Directors. Her involvement with the OAO includes chairing numerous working groups and committees as well as providing mentorship for students interested in the profession. In 2019, Dr Pabla received a Certificate of Appreciation for her contributions to the OAO. 

Dr Pabla has also presented research at the American Academy of Optometry and lectured on topics in pediatric eye care at the Ontario Healthy Schools Conference and the Pri-Med Canada conference for family physicians. 

Dr Pabla enjoys participating in eye care missions to parts of the world where eye care is scarce or inaccessible. For her volunteer expeditions to Africa, she was given honorary membership to the Woman’s Medical Association of Nigeria.

AJ Singh completed his opticianry program through the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology and has almost a decade of optical experience. AJ is passionate about helping people see well while keeping them looking sharp and fashion-forward. AJ enjoys finding solutions for patients with challenging optical problems. AJ enjoys learning about new advancements in the optical arena and keeps current with the latest technologies in lens designs, lens treatments and speciality lenses such as Enchroma. In his spare time, AJ enjoys time with his family. He is a classic car enthusiast and amateur painter.

Martina Miller, OA completed her certification as an Optometric Assistant in 2017 through the Canadian Association of Optometrists and is now pursuing her diploma in Opticianry through the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology. Martina enjoys patient-centered care and has a great sense of fashion and style for eyewear. She enjoys assisting in contact lens fittings, frame selection and lens selection so that your eyewear fits your needs. Outside of work, Martina likes to try different foods, workout, and research international fashion trends.

Remi Pelletier has an incredible sense of fashion and style. She is our frame stylist and optical assistant. She firmly believes in providing patients with top quality care and making the patient experience pleasant and informative. Outside of work, Remi plays soccer competitively and enjoys time outdoors.

Austin is our optometric technician. He is extremely passionate about working with all our patients. He is a highly resourceful individual with great technical skills and knowledge in the field of optometry. In his spare time, Austin enjoys long hikes, and basketball, as well as singing and dancing.

Francisco Cardoso is the latest edition to the Regal Eye Care team! He is fun and friendly. Francisco is always ready to help. He has a keen eye for premium eyewear. During his spare time, Francisco is busy tutoring high school students in math and science.
