We are very fortunate to have "Dr. Mitra" in the Grass Valley area! I've had a couple of surgeries done by her, the most recent a cataract surgery. She is a wonderful surgeon and a very warm and caring physician. Even with staff shortages, she was carrying on cheerfully to take care of her patients, and working very hard. Very highly recommended, she is the best!

I consider myself very fortunate to have been referred to Dr. Mitra for cataract surgery on both of my eyes. She is very professional & made me feel at ease when she explained the procedure. The surgery was over in 30 minutes at the most, and before I knew it, I was home. It was so worth having the surgery because the results were so satisfying to me. Thank you, Dr. Mitra!!!

Dr. Ayazifar first performed cataract surgery on my husband. He was amazed after she finished how well he could see. Next, it was my turn and he was right. But more than that, she was kind, patient with my questions, and understood my fears. She also used the Omni procedure to help my glaucoma. Since she did that the pressures have dropped tremendously and I am only on 1 drop at night from one medication, instead of a battery of meds. I recommend her highly not only as a doctor but also as a human being.

Dr. Mitra is the best! I've worked with her for years and she always gets it right! Her cataract surgery a few years ago on my right eye was perfect! No aftereffects at all!, unlike someone else who did my left eye and I'm still having issues with that. She has compassion, humor, knowledge, kindness, and plenty of experience.
