Comprehensive Eye Examinations

At Luke Eye Associates, we strive to provide comprehensive, primary eye care for the whole family. Preventative and routine eye exams are important to maintaining good eye health. Our optometrists perform digital eye examinations using the latest technology available. Digital retinal imaging is also performed on each patient, capturing a detailed view of the retina to be incorporated into the patient record.

Often, eye and vision problems do not have obvious symptoms or signs, but are easily diagnosed by a licensed optometrist. By diagnosing eye and vision conditions early on, our optometrist is able provide treatment options and in many cases restore or prevent vision loss. The American Optometric Association recommends yearly or bi-yearly eye and vision exams, depending on whether you are at-risk or not.

When specialized testing is required, our doctors have the technology available to help treat and follow certain conditions. An OCT scan produces highly detailed 3D images that help our doctors look below the surface of the retina to detect warning signs before disease affects your vision and determine the best course of care for you. Similar to an ultrasound or MRI examination, an OCT exam is a fast and non-invasive way for your optometrist to assess the health of your eyes.

Visual Field analyzation is also available to help measure a patient’s field of vision to rule out vision loss due to conditions such as glaucoma, high risk medications, brain injuries, etc.

Our optometrists are able to treat many eye infections and remove foreign bodies as well.
