We take pride in being Eye Doctors in Las Vegas for as long as we have been. We operate 13 eye care centers here in Las Vegas to make it easy to help you with all your eye care needs.     Dr. Kopolow is a 1990 graduate of Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. He has been providing comprehensive eye care services to Southern Nevadans for more than 15 years. Dr. Kopolow enjoys an excellent reputation and has a large following of loyal patients. His specific areas of interest are contact lenses, ophthalmics, and primary eye care. Dr. Kopolow has two children and has resided in the Las Vegas area for nearly 40 years.

    Steve Girisgen

    Dr. Steve Girisgen graduated from Southern College of Optometry in 1996 with a Doctor of Optometry degree. Since his graduation, he has grown his practice by providing compassionate care in the greater Las Vegas Valley. Dr. Girisgen emphasizes listening to his patients and caring for their needs. Dr. Girisgen is certified in the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease. He manages all forms of eye disease and accepts difficult to fit contact lens patients. Dr. Girisgen is an avid sports enthusiast and enjoys playing in competitive basketball leagues. He has a wonderful wife of over 10 years and has two young boys. Dr. Girisgen is currently taking new patients and accepts many medical insurance plans.

    Frances Capulong-Jones

    Dr. Frances Capulong-Jones completed her optometric education by earning her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern California College of Optometry in 2012.  Her undergraduate studies culminated with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of California-Los Angles in 2006.  During clinical rotations at the VA hospitalin Las Vegas and the Center for The Partially Sighted (Culver City, CA),Dr. Capulong-Jones received extensive training in the management of ocular disease and provides services in English, Spanish, and Tagalog to her large base of loyal patients.

    Dr. Capulong-Jones spends her off-duty hours with her husband and newborn son.  She also enjoys traveling to tropical destinations and home decorating,
    Dr. Capulong became a Managing Partner in our Practice with the opening of our Henderson, NV Pearle Vision office located at 75 S. Valle Verde Parkway #100 89012 in February. 2019.

    Abraham Motola

    Dr. Abraham Motola holds a master’s degree in Biology from Point Loma Nazarene University and received his Doctor of Optometry in 2016 from Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University.  Dr. Motola has advanced training and particular interest in the diagnosis and management of clinical dry eye.  He provides services in English and Spanish. 
    Dr. Motola was born in Mexico and enjoys playing and watching sports on television.  Other interests include dancing and listening to music.

    Amy Lelei Apisa Hitzeman

    Dr. Amy Lelei Apisa Hitzeman was a member of the Southern California College of Optometry class of 1998.  Throughout her optometric career, she has received advanced training in Low Vision services, as well as extensive training in specialty contact lens fitting and refractive surgery co-management.  Dr. Hitzeman provides services in English and Spanish.

    Having moved to Las Vegas from Honolulu, HI, Dr. Hitzeman and her family enjoy traveling; especially to watch their son play football for the Michigan State University Spartans.  We are excited to welcome Dr. Hitzeman as a new addition to the Kopolow-Girisgen family.

    Bruce Feinberg

    Dr. Bruce Feinberg practiced for 20-years in Philadelphia, PA before joining our Practice in 2017.   A 1977 Graduate of Pennsylvania College of Optometry, Dr. Feinberg has advanced experience and training in Low Vision and Contact Lens services.

    Dr. Feinberg’s family includes his wife, and 2 children.  His main interests and hobbies are music, sports, and travel.

    Christopher Tom

    Dr. Christopher Tom is a 2019 graduate of the Southern California College of Optometry at Marshall B. Ketchum University.  We are excited to welcome Dr. Tom, and his wife Dr. Lisa Duong to Las Vegas and to our Practice.  Dr. Tom has particular interest in the diagnosis and treatment of clinical dry eye and plans to emphasize his expertise in that area as he builds his following.

    Dr. Tom is a memberof the American Optometric Association and is enjoying his first few months as a Nevada resident. 

  • Dr. Cindy Trinh

    Dr. Cindy Trinh was born and raised in Alberta, Canada and has lived in the United States for 5 years. She joined Kopolow-Girisgen shortly after receiving her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2018.

    Dong Chan Suk

    Dr. Dong Chan Suk is a 2013 graduate of Western University of Health Sciences College of Optometry. Dr. Suk is Board Certified in the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease and completed a post-doctoral residency in Primary Eye Care. Dr. Suk joined our Practice 5 years ago and has grown a large base of loyal patients. 

    In his spare time, Dr. Suk enjoys snowboarding, golfing, and watching movies.

    Keisha Sands

    Dr. Keisha Sands was born and raised in the islands of The Bahamas. She first pursued a bachelor’s degree in Medical Chemistry before earning her Doctor of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN.  Dr Sands was granted the award for Excellence in Ocular Disease during her graduation and enjoys all aspects of primary eye care.  She is a current member of the Nevada Optometric Association.  Dr. Sands has been with Kopolow & Girisgen for over one year and spends most of her days at the Lake Mead location.  During her time off, Dr. Sands enjoys exploring new local restaurants or at one of the local kick boxing clubs.

    Kelli Anne McLaughlin

    Dr. Kelli Anne McLaughlin has been a valued member of our eye care team since 2006.  Dr. McLaughlin received her Doctor of Optometry degree from The Ohio State University College of Optometry in 2002.  She emphasizes the practice of fitting specialty contact lenses for patients with keratoconus and other corneal diseases.  

    Dr. McLaughlin has 2 children and enjoys hiking.

    Lawrence Cruz

    Dr. Lawrence Cruz completed his optometric training in 2015.  A graduate of Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry, Dr. Cruz received extensive experience in the treatment of ocular disease and in contact lens services.  In addition to English, Dr. Cruz speaks Spanish and is entering his second year with our Practice. 

    Outside of work, Dr. Cruz enjoys yoga, cooking, playing piano, and traveling.  His affiliations with the American Optometric Association and Nevada Optometric Association signify his commitment to the profession and the delivery of the highest level of eye care to his patients.

    Linda M. Bayerkohler

    Dr. Linda M. Bayerkohler graduated from the University of Missouri-St. Louis College of Optometry in 2000.  “Dr. B” has built a large patient following in her 17 years with our Practice.  She emphasizes medical and pediatric eye care and is truly loved by her  patients and her staff.

    Most important to Dr. Bayerkohler is the time she spends with her husband and 3 daughters supporting their extracurricular activities.   Other interests include family movie nights, travel, and their 1-year old puppy.

    Michael Roth

    Dr. Michael Roth earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1973 after completing a BS in Pure Science from Le Moyne College in 1969.  He was a member of the Master of the Tomb and Key Honor Societies.  Dr. Roth has been a proud member of the American Optometric Association for 50 years.  Other professional affiliations include the New York State Optometric Association and memberships on the AOA Resolutions and Inter Association/Inter Professions Committees.  Throughout his career, Dr. Roth has gained advanced training and experience in the areas of sports vision, glaucoma management, refractive surgery pre and post management, contact lenses, and the medical management of clinical dry eye. 
    Dr. Roth and his wife of 44 years are proud parents of 2 sons; one who is an optometrist, and the other a distinguished military officer.

    Phillip J. Duran

    Dr. Phillip J. Duran’s hometown is Albuquerque, New Mexico and has been a valued Kopolow-Girisgen Associate Optometrist for 6 years.  Upon receiving his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern College of Optometry in 2012, Dr. Duran completed a clinical residency in Low Vision and Traumatic Brain Injury Rehabilitation at the Long Beach, California VA Hospital.  Dr. Duran provides services in English and Spanish.

    Dr. Duran enjoys hunting, fishing, and most sports.  He and his wife enjoy spending time with their 2 young children and visiting family in Hawaii and California.

    Sarah Martin

    Dr. Sarah Martin recently relocated from Portland, Oregon where she was the Director of Community Outreach at Pacific University College of Optometry from 2012 to 2018.  As a faculty member, she was instrumental in the education of student optometrists in the area of community service.  After graduating from the New England College of Optometry in 2007, Dr. Martin completed a formal residency in Primary Eye Care and Low Vision at the Southern Arizona VA Hospital in Tucson, followed by a 3-year endeavor to develop a rural health clinic in conjunction with the Department of Indian Health Services and the Tohono O’odam Nation.  

    Dr. Martin’s spare time is spent with her son and their golden doodle puppy.  Dr. Martin also enjoys kickboxing, tennis, hiking, and exploring in the desert.
