Photophobia / Migraine Tints

ComforTint is an affordable soft contact lens tint developed for those who suffer from severe photophobia with or without migraine. The ComforTint color mixture provides a general filtration of the visible light spectrum with an emphasis in filtering the high energy blue / violet light rays that tend to trigger photophobia and migraine more often.

ComforTint on R Eye

ComforTint is available in 3 basic shades: Light, Medium, and Dark. (Extra light and extra dark shades are available upon request for a small upcharge)Our most popular lens material is a conventional 1-year-replacement soft contact lens called Metrosoft II.   It is a 365 day lens that can be worn 1 to 7 days a week and must be discarded after one year. It is important that the ComforTint contact never be worn while sleeping.

Most of today's frequent replacement soft contacts such as Acuvue, Bausch & Lomb, Alcon etc. are made of a material called silicone hydrogel. This material tints very poorly. In addition, it can become cost prohibitive to tint 12 pair of contact lenses rather than 1.  However, if you would prefer a monthly option we do have that available in a tint-friendly monthly-replacement lens called Proclear.
