Dr. Mohidat completed his medical school training at Jordan University of Science and Technology followed by a 2 year clinical and surgical fellowship at The University of Texas Medical School department of Ophthalmology in Houston. He later joined the staff in the Department of Ophthalmology at Jordan University of Science and Technology as Assistant Professor. He has been active teaching medical students, ophthalmology residents, as well as training Retina fellows at King Abdullah University Hospital affiliated with the Jordan University of Science and Technology. This mentorship continues today at The Retinal Vascular Center in Houston with medical students, residents, and post doctoral fellows conducting research on the newest treatments and methodologies for diabetic retinopathy and stem cell research.
During his training in Jordan, he performed hundreds of ophthalmic surgeries, procedures, while he trained residents and fellows simultaneously. As chief of the Ophthalmology department and later Assistant Dean, he remains on the staff in the Ophthalmology department as adjunct professor. Dr. Mohidat specializes in cataract surgery, premium intraocular lenses, diseases of the retina and vitreous, dry eyes, macular degeneration, glaucoma and many other advanced diseases. He is on staff at Memorial Hermann Surgical Center at Memorial City and Kirby Glen, Advanced Diagnostics East, River Oaks Hospital, and St. Joseph Medical Center.
