Everyone knows the importance of wearing sunscreen to protect your skin from damaging UV rays. It is equally as important to wear sunglasses to protect your eyes. Extended exposure to the suns UV rays has been linked to eye damage including cataracts, macular degeneration and photokeratitis, which can cause temporary vision loss.

Although you don't have to spend a lot of money on sunglasses, not all pairs are created equally. Be sure to find lenses that block at least 99% of UV ray and they should be worn year round, even on cloudy days.

The Center for Eye Care's Optical shop has a large selection of sunglasses to choose from, including the newest designers and latest styles. Our professionals will be able to help you choose the best sunglasses, prescription or non-prescription, for maximum protection for your eyes.
