Dr. D. “Scott” Dilzer received his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Richmond in 1992 and continued to the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia where he received his Doctor of Optometry. He found a special calling for private practice, where he would be able to spend quality time with his patients . He especially enjoys getting to know his patients as they grow, and is now seeing kids of patients he knew as kids!

Dr. Annette Dilzer hails originally from the city of Johnstown, Pennsylvania. She earned her B.A. from Washington and Jefferson College in Washington, PA. Dr. Dilzer pursued her optometric education at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia, PA, where she met her husband. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Virginia Optometric Association and the Purcellville Business and Professional Association.

Originally from near Columbus, Ohio, Dr. Pittman obtained her Bachelors of Science at Fairmont State University in Fairmont, WV, where she was also a pitcher on the softball team. It was during school there that she met her husband, Lance. Following graduation, she headed back to her home state to attend the Ohio State University College of Optometry. She spent the next couple of years working at a private practice in northern West Virginia before finally joining our team in July of 2014.

Nicki joined Dilzer Eye Care in 2010, and we are impressed by her ability to smoothly run our operations. Our guests are always wowed by her ability to get things done, and has a knack for calmly speaking with people. Nicki brings more than 8 years of experience in optics and the eyecare industry. She gladly assists guests in all areas in of the office. We can honestly say there is nothing Nicki can't do! Nicki keeps Dr. Scott on his toes and she always has a joke to play on him.

Karen is very knowledgeable about insurance and coverage issues. If you have a question about your coverage she is able to help you understand it clearly. Karen has a special, calm way about her, and is exceptionally patient when explaining your insurance benefits. When not in the office, Karen really enjoys family time (especially with her grandson), outdoor activities, reading, scrapbooking, and sewing.

You will meet Jackie at our guest services desk. Jackie is our Guest Services Leader. She works intimately with our management team to ensure that a superior experience is received by every guest. Jackie joined Dilzer Eye Care in 2013, and has a strong customer service background, Her cheerfulness compliments Dilzer Eye Care very well. She truly loves what she does, and has a passion for making you feel comfortable.

Kelly brings to Dilzer Eye Care a third generation of experience in opticianry. He has 34 years experience in the optical field. With experience in making and dispensing fine optics, Kelly makes sure you receive the very best in quality and satisfaction. In his spare time, Kelly can be found biking, hiking along the Appalachian Trail, camping with his family, flying anything that has RC associated with it, and playing with his son. Kelly resides in Berryville with his family.

The moment you open up a conversation with Brandey, you can see the sparkle in her eyes that just say to you, ‘this is gonna be a great day’. Brandey has a great spirit and vivacious laugh that will make you feel at ease and not pressured at all. When it comes to frame selection and lens designs, she has the ability to fit you right the first time and make you happy. Brandey loves to laugh, and it is contagious. When not making our guests super happy, Brandey loves her time with her family in Winchester. She loves to scrapbook and has a special passion for helping others.

You’ll be warmly greeted by Leah with a smile upon entering the practice. Leah absolutely enjoys making you smile and laugh. Her smile helps put you at ease upon your arrival. She believes in making everything clear for you so that your experience here is nothing less than spectacular. Leah is not afraid of learning new things and really enjoys a challenge. The interactions she has with patients always brighten her day. When away from the office, Leah values playtime with her daughter up in Harpers Ferry WV. In addition, she competes in pageants, and has even received a Queen title for Miss WV Roadkill Festival 2017. What treat does she really enjoy? Coffee. Leah really really really enjoys her coffee.

When you have had any type of medical testing done elsewhere, you know how cold and impersonal the interaction can be. Well, not with Sam. Sam is a gem! From the moment she gently welcomes you from the front desk to escort you thru all phases of the practice, Sam has a gentle demeanor that just makes you comfortable and relaxed. This is due to her great ability to listen and calmly reassure her guests. Sam grew up in Berryville and attended Lord Fairfax Community College with hopes to one day work in the medical field and is genuinely delighted to be on our team. Sam has a passion for learning and plans to continue her education in optometry. She is currently motivated to learn more in the field of special testing and will be pursuing para-optometric certification in order to serve our guests more efficiently and proficiently.
