In practice since 1984, Dr. Helen Hooper has been a part of a staff committed to offering the highest quality eye health care, service and products – from childhood to adulthood.  Being around for three decades, Carroll Eye Care has watched their patients grow and have helped their children to see. A true family friendly environment. A local business that treats its patients like family.  We don’t just ask for insurance cards, we ask how the kids are and how the rest of the family is doing.

Dr. Christina Antonopoulos - Retinal Specialist

Dr. Christina Antonopoulos is the founder of Greater Baltimore Vitreoretinal Specialists and specializes in the evaluation of medical and surgical disease of the retina and vitreous. She obtained her medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine. She went on to complete an internship in the Department of Internal Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital at Harvard Medical School and an Ophthalmology Residency at the W.K. Kellogg Eye Center at the University of Michigan. Dr. Antonopoulos completed her vitreoretinal surgical fellowship in the Department of Ophthalmology at Boston University Medical Center.

Dr. Antonopoulos is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retina Specialists. She is the author of several peer-reviewed publications and holds particular clinical interest in diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, uveitis and surgical disease of the retina and vitreous.
