Meet The Doctors

Dr. Maria Tina Domingues founded Pink Vision Associates in 2010. Originally from Kearny, New Jersey, Dr. Domingues is a graduate of the New Jersey Institute of Technology/ Rutgers University where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Science in 2005. She earned her second Bachelor of Science in Visual Science from the Nova Southeastern College of Optometry in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. 

Dr. Domingues received her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2009 from the Nova Southeastern College of Optometry in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. She completed her optometric training at the Eye Centers of South Florida in Ft Lauderdale, Florida and at Aran Eye Associates in Coral Gables, Florida. Her training focused on optometry and ophthalmologic co-management of glaucoma, ocular disease, inflammation, trauma, retinopathy, laser surgery, and cataracts. 

 Dr. Domingues has cared for patients in the New Jersey area since 2010. As an independent doctor of optometry, she currently sees patients at offices in Fort Lee, Summit, Kearny, Lyndhurst and Irvington, New Jersey. She has extensive experience in family eye care, including dry eye management, computer vision problem-solving, childrens’ eye examination with a special emphasis on myopia control including Orthokeratology (ortho-K) and Misight, and specialty contact lens fittings for keratoconus. She is also fluent in Portuguese and Spanish.

New Jersey licensed and board certified in ocular pharmaceutical agents, Dr. Domingues' training and experience allow her to diagnose, treat, and manage or co-manage all eye conditions. Her specialties include children's vision, specialty contact lens fittings including ortho-K for myopia management, Misight lenses for myopia control, scleral lenses and bifocal contacts, laser surgery consultations and postoperative care. She works closely with many local eye specialists and surgeons in order to help guide her patients to the best care in the New Jersey area.

Professional memberships include the American Optometric Association and the New Jersey Optometric Society.

Dr. Carla Domingues has been affiliated with Pink Vision associates since 2013. Originally from Kearny NJ, she graduated from Queen of Peace in 2006. She graduated cum laude from Seton Hall University in 2009 with a bachelor of science in Biology.

In 2009, Dr. Carla Domingues was accepted into Pennsylvania college of Optometry where she earned her Doctorate of optometry in 2013. Her optometric internships were completed at the Veterans Hospital in Lyons NJ, Omni Eye Services in Iselin NJ and Liva Eye center in Paramus NJ.

Dr. Domingues currently works at Pink Vision Associates in all locations. She performs comprehensive eye examinations, diagnosis and treatment of eye disease, and fitting of soft, rigid gas permeable, toric and specialty contact lenses. She is also fluent in French, Spanish and Portuguese.

Dr. Jayswinder Kaur recently started practicing Optometry at Pink Vision Associates in 2019. Originally from Carteret, New Jersey, Dr. Kaur graduated cum laude from The School of Biological Sciences at Rutgers University in 2013. She studied both biology and psychology at Rutgers University.

Dr. Kaur received her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2019 from State University of New York School of Optometry, New York. Her optometric rotations were completed at Maple Eye Care in Ridgewood NJ, Veteran's Hospital in Lyons NJ, and The University Eye Center in NY. Her training focused on ocular disease, pediatric care, vision therapy, and various forms of contact lenses along with co-management of cataract and laser surgical patients. She specializes in helping our patients who need specialty and hard to fit contact lenses for keratoconus such as scleral contact lenses. She is also fluent in Punjabi and Hindi.

Dr. Kaur is a new addition to the Pink Vision Associates family and enjoys working closely with all her patients.

Dr. Sahar M. Emami joined Pink Vision Associates in 2023. Originally from the Northern Virginia area, she graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Neuroscience and a Minor Degree in Business Administration. In June of 2017, Dr. Emami graduated from Inter-American University of Puerto Rico where she earned her Doctor of Optometry Degree. Her optometric externships were completed at Capital Eye Consultants in Fairfax, Virginia and The Vision and Conceptual Center in Chevy Chase, Maryland. Her training focused on pediatric eye care, ocular disease, cataract co-management as well as routine eye and contact lens examinations. She is also fluent in Farsi and conversant in Spanish. Dr. Emami loves building relationships with her patients and puts their care above everything else.
