Meet the Optometrists

Dr. Jennifer Mallinger has been a resident of Las Vegas since 1997. Caring for families' eye health in her community are both her profession and her passion. Practicing in her current location since 1997, Dr. Mallinger has witnessed many of her clients grow up and experience life's milestones right before her eyes. Mallinger received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology from Sonoma State University in 1993 and her Doctorate of Optometry from Southern California College in 1997. She is a member of the Nevada Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. Dr. Mallinger's personal approach in her practice comes from her own life experience. She has three amazing children and is married to Tom McCormick, owner of Touchstone Living Homes and father of his four wonderful children. Dr. Mallinger is now happily a mother of seven beautiful children and a grandmother to four grandchildren. This growing family keeps her entertained and learning daily. Her understanding of the importance of eye health, as well as overall health for every member of the family makes her a preferred doctor. Being a big believer in giving back, Dr. Mallinger stays involved in several Nevada charities. Her core focus over the years has been volunteering at schools around the valley, providing free vision screenings for children of all ages, and her commitment to Community In Schools that empowers students to achieve in school. She is a sustainer in the Junior League of Las Vegas and was a member of the National Charity League. Tom and Jennifer are volunteers and part of Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada.

Dr. Julie Arcemont has proudly called Las Vegas home since 1997. Originally from La Jolla, California, she earned her undergraduate degree from UC Davis before attending the Southern California College of Optometry—where she and Dr. Mallinger were roommates and became the best of friends. After spending a few years living in California, Louisiana, and Florida, Dr. Arcemont returned to Las Vegas in 2006 and was thrilled to join Mallinger Family Eyecare, reuniting professionally with her longtime friend and colleague. Dr. Arcemont loves both living and practicing in Las Vegas and has cherished the opportunity to build lasting relationships with so many wonderful patients in the Summerlin community. She takes pride in providing thorough, personalized eye care and strives to make every visit efficient, comfortable, and on time. Her approach is centered on understanding each patient’s unique visual needs and offering tailored solutions for the clearest, most comfortable vision possible. Together, she and Dr. Mallinger utilize state-of-the-art technology to ensure every patient enjoys a lifetime of optimal eye health. Deeply committed to service, Dr. Arcemont is an active member of the West Charleston Lions Club and has participated in multiple mission trips to The Philippines, Peru, and Mexico, providing free eye exams and glasses to those in need. She has also volunteered with Young Men’s Service League alongside her two sons, supporting a variety of local charities throughout Las Vegas. Dr. Arcemont has been happily married to her husband, Justin, since 2000.
