Our Approach to Optometry
Our one-on-one approach to optometry makes Dr. Webb and the Scott Webb Optometry staff the eye and vision care providers of choice in the Rutland area. Beginning at age 3 children should be seen, followed by an eye exam at least every two years if there are not any issues. Children having trouble in school should definitely be seen by Dr. Webb. Often, there is an underlying vision condition that is a contributing cause. Adults should have their eyes examined every one to two years depending on risk factors, age and overall physical health. Contact lens wearers must be seen every 12 months.
Sight-threatening diseases such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration and many more are just a few of the disorders that we will test you for. Some eye diseases do not have any symptoms so it is vital that adults have yearly eye exams to detect these disorders. The office is equipped with state-of-the-art technology such as a Humphrey Visual Field analyzer, a stereo fundus camera for photographing the inside of the eye and a special analyzer which detects glaucoma at an early stage. We have many active patients that Dr. Webb is treating for glaucoma.
The office is also well-stocked with an extensive display of the finest eyewear from manufacturers such as Oakley, Gucci, Jimmy Choo, Carrara, Kate Spade, Fysh and more.
We have a staff of three that we are very proud of. Lisa Fish, contact lens technician has been with the practice for 22 years. Lori McKeon, optical expert has been with us for 15 years. Colette Webb is the office manager. We feel very fortunate to have these fine professionals working here and we value their many years of experience.
