At Vision i Care, our goal is to provide our patients with the best optometry services possible. Our approach to optometry makes our eye doctor the provider of choice in the Pasadena area. We offer several eye care services and will work with you to create a vision care plan tailored to your needs.
Eye Exam, Consultation, and Testing
Eye and vision problems rarely have obvious symptoms but can be easily diagnosed by an eye doctor. If diagnosed early, our optometrist can provide prompt treatment to reverse or prevent vision loss. A yearly or bi-yearly preventive eye and vision exam is recommended.
Our eye doctor will consider issues you are experiencing, including blurry vision, your work environment, medications you are taking, and your overall health. We will discuss family history and previous conditions.
Routine vision testing ensures that you always have the clearest vision possible. We will perform a visual acuity test as part of the comprehensive eye exam and will measure how each eye is working by using a wall eye chart, and a reading eye chart. We may prescribe eye exercises, contacts, or corrective lenses.
Contact Lens Exams
After our eye doctor determines the level of refractive error you are experiencing, we will help you determine if glasses or contacts are the best fit for you. If you have allergies or dry eyes, glasses may be the best corrective option for you. Contact lenses come in many varieties, including traditional soft lenses and rigid gas permeable lenses. They require changing daily, weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. Specialized contact lenses, such as bifocal lenses, are available.
Hard to Fit Contact Lens Exams
Certain conditions make wearing contact lenses more difficult, including:
- Dry eyes
- Giant Papillary Conjunctivitis (GPC)
- Keratoconus
- Presbyopia
- Astigmatism
Wearing traditional soft lenses may not be possible if you have one of the above conditions. Our optometrist will determine the lenses that are suitable for your specific vision condition.
Computer Vision Treatment
Sitting at a computer has become a normal part of our lives, and can lead to:
- Eye discomfort and strain
- Blurry vision
- Dry, itchy, or scratchy eyes
- Headaches
- Neck and shoulder pain
Mild symptoms can worsen and cause additional vision problems if not addressed.
LASIK Eye Surgery
LASIK surgery is effective in treating astigmatism, hyperopia, myopia, and other eye conditions. Our eye doctor will review your medical history and assesses your eye health and vision to determine whether or not you are a suitable candidate for LASIK. At Vision i Care, we offer pre-and post-surgical care.
