April 4, 2012 - As you are aware, many people throw out a good deal of "stuff" when they
move. Unfortunately, a lot of this "stuff" is food that could be
delivered to a family in need rather than thrown away.
McCarthy Transfer & Storage, Inc., in conjunction with Move for Hunger was able to donate 281 pounds of food today to Feeding America San Diego. 
Move For Hunger works to rescue food from people's homes that would otherwise be thrown away and deliver it to local food banks. The summer is the busiest season for the moving industry, giving Move For Hunger a great opportunity to fill the shelves of our communities' food banks.
