McCarthy Transfer & Storage, was established by Leo B. McCarthy in February of 1919 in La Mesa, Ca. Prior to this we were strictly in the horse and wagon freight business from the train depot in La Mesa to all the points South, East and North in San Diego County. Upon the founding of McCarthy Transfer & Storage in 1919 our founder, Leo McCarthy saw the need to specialize in household goods. The area was really growing at the time it was the, "The New Frontier".
In 1994, McCarthy Transfer & Storage became an interstate agent for Wheaton World Wide Moving. As a San Diego based mover we are equipped to relocate our local San Diego interstate and international moving customers anywhere in the world.
