COVID-19 Update

COVID-19 UPDATE: HOW OVERLAKE EYECARE IS PREPARING AND RESPONDING

May 7th, 2020

In response to recent COVID-19 concerns, we are writing to assure our
patients that we are taking recommended precautions. Our team is back and
we are fully operational at our Bellevue office and new Kirkland office. We
are here to help with your EyeCare needs. Our doctors and staff wear N95
masks, we thoroughly sanitize and clean exam rooms and equipment before and
after every patient and are limiting the number of patients in the office.
We encourage our patients to wait in their own car until we are ready for
them with text message alerts. We also have telemedicine appointments for
those that prefer care from their own home. Stay safe and take extra
precautions. We are here to help and together we will get through this!

March 19, 2020

As the situation around the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to
develop, our paramount concern has been for the health and safety of our
patients and staff.

Several weeks ago, Overlake EyeCare established a task force led by our
providers to plan for the potential impacts of COVID-19. While this is not
an exhaustive list, here are some of the precautions we’re taking across
our medical offices.

Clinic Hours:

We’re temporarily adjusting clinic hours to better serve customers and
communities in response to COVID-19. Beginning Thursday, March 19, our
Bellevue clinic will be open from 8 am to 12 noon Monday through Friday.
Our Kirkland office will be closed until further notice.

As an essential eye care provider to the communities we serve, we’re
committed to keeping our clinic open just as we always do during times of
crisis and natural disaster. Patients depend on us for urgent eye care
needs.

We will cease providing any routine eye care and limit care to urgent and
emergent eye care.

The adjusted hours will give our clinic the ability to staff appropriately
and provide additional time to perform cleaning. As part of our normal
practice, our office is cleaned and sanitized daily. Following guidance
from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
(CDC), we’re increasing the frequency of cleaning and general hygiene
maintenance in our office. We’re also stepping up our efforts to
disinfect high-traffic and high-touch areas like, door handles, countertops
and bathrooms, hourly as well as posting signage about hand-washing and
other preventative actions.
