Vision changes

Many patients ask me, How can I stop my eyes from getting worse? The simple answer is you cannot stop them. You can however slow the change in the the prescription. Wearing contact lenses has shown to slow and sometimes stall the changes in your prescription. Our eyes change the most from ages 10 to our late twenties. Then again in our 40's to about age 60. Its also important to have periodic check-up's to make sure you are not developing any eye diseases. In general living a healthy lifestyle by watching your weight, eating a proper diet low in fat and sugars will reduce your risks of getting many age related diseases.
