What kind of Lenses should I get?

We now have more options of eyeglass lenses than ever before. Since we believe that glasses are not just a fashion statement they need to be functional and have the flexibility to be used for a variety of conditions. Safety is on the top of our list which means we feel that Polycarbonate, Trivex or Hi index are the best options for protection. Visual clarity is tied for this spot so we recommend Aspeheric and Antireflective lenses. Next we recommend transitions lenses which darken when you go outside into the sunlight. These lenses do not replace Sunglasses but function well as an adaptive lens. For sunglasses we feel there is nothing better than Polaroid lenses. If you are over 40 and now require a prescription for reading then Progressive bifocal are the only option as they allow you to see clearly at virtually all distances. Sometimes one pair of glasses will not provide you with all of your visual requirements so having multiple pairs is a necessary option. Remember that a back-up pair is also important, especially if you lose, damage or just want a different look. Our opticians( Laurie, Lynn and Kylie) are the best and highly trained and are eager to help you with caring for all your vision needs.
