Julia Garr, O.D.
Dr. Julia Garr graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2000 with a bachelors degree. After supporting her Terrapins, she went to Suny State College of Optometry. As an active member of SVOSH (Student Volunteers for Optometric Service to Humanity ) she offered free eye exams to children and adults in Nicaragua.
Shortly after Dr. Garr graduated with her optometric degree in 2004 from Suny, she began practicing at Vision Source DC Focus Eyecare Center in 2005. She is a current member of the American Optometric Association and Maryland Optometric Association. Dr. Garr specializes in primary care optometry, contact lenses and medical emergencies.
Dr. Garr’s hobbies include snowboarding, taking pictures of her son and daughter and supporting all her local teams including the Terps, Washington Caps and the Redskins!
