Meet the Staff
Dr. Shea Christensen is a Midwest native. She grew up in Nebraska, where she attended the University of Nebraska-Kearney and earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Family Studies. At a very early age, Dr. Christensen knew she wanted to be an optometrist and pursued her dream by attending the Pacific University College of Optometry in Oregon, where she earned her Doctor of Optometry.
Dr. Christensen completed internships at Hickam Air Force Base in Honolulu, The Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, and Spivack Vision and Laser Center in Denver, Colorado. She is highly experienced in primary eye care, diagnosis and treatment of ocular diseases, well trained in Lasik and Cataract surgery management and is also Orthokeratology certified, a non-surgical alternative to refractive surgery.
Dr. Christensen has worked in Colorado, Ohio, and Florida before moving to Northern Virginia following her husband who is serving our country with the United States Air Force. In her spare time, Dr. Christensen cheers on the Nebraska Huskers, reads, practices yoga, and enjoys outdoor activities with her husband and two small girls. She is currently accepting patients in the Stone Ridge office.
