Meet The Staff
Dr. Grant became passionate about optometry at a very young age due to his mother’s genetic eye disease, Retinitis Pigmentosa. He is originally from Los Angeles, California, where he attended California State University and obtained a B.S. in Biology in 2004. After college he worked at the Boxer Wachler Vision Institute in Beverly Hills, California, and was published in multiple professional journals.
Dr. Grant completed his Doctorate of Optometry from the Inter American University of Puerto Rico School of Optometry. While there, he learned to speak Spanish fluently, won multiple leadership awards and upon graduation was recognized as “Best in Class” by Vision Monday Magazine, a highly read and respected ophthalmic industry journal. He completed a low vision/traumatic brain injury rehabilitation externship at the Veterans Affair Hospital in San Juan, Puerto Rico, as well as externships in ocular disease, and specialty contact lenses.
He joined Dr. Finley’s family practice in July of 2013. Dr. Grant is an avid sports fan and he enjoys spending his free time outdoors and staying active.
