Dr. Jennifer E. Davis

Doctor of Optometry

Dr. Jennifer Davis is the owner of Vision Tech Optometry Center and is grateful to work with an amazing team of professionals. She prides herself in giving excellent patient care and considers it a privilege to take care of patients of all ages having all types of ocular and visual needs. She has a special interest in orthokeratology as it pertains to myopia control for children. Dr. Davis treats patients with compassion and respect and is a big believer in utilizing advanced technology to manage, treat, and educate her patients.

Dr. Davis was raised in Texas and graduated with honors from the University of Texas at Austin in 1997. She graduated with her doctorate from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2001. Her career began in private practice in Colorado where she served as President of both the Southern Colorado Optometric Society and the Vision & Learning Forum. She also served on the Board of Directors for the Colorado Optometric Center and several committees for the Colorado Optometric Association. In 2004, Dr. Davis was selected as Colorado’s Young Optometrist of the Year.

Dr. Davis has lectured nationally on topics related to contact lenses and anterior segment disease. As the fifth optometrist in the United States to earn the designation of Certified Medical Investigator, Level IV, Dr. Davis enjoys lecturing to law enforcement officers and prosecutors on vision-related traffic safety and horizontal gaze nystagmus. She is member of the Waynesboro Police Foundation. She served six years on the Board of Trustees for the Virginia Optometric Association (VOA) and continues to stay active in the VOA committee structure. Dr. Davis is a Fellow in the Virginia Academy of Optometry. She is the Virginia representative for the American Optometric Association’s Political Action Committee and serves as a legislative keyperson for the VOA. She is a visiting Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Virginia, and a previous member of Alcon’s Speakers’ Alliance. Dr. Davis was selected as Virginia’s Young Optometrist of the Year in 2007.

Dr. Davis is a member of the Waynesboro Lions Club and enjoys being active and involved in her community. She and her husband, Taylor, are high school sweethearts and have two wonderful boys, Jackson and Rowen. Outside of the office, Dr. Davis loves spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys music, traveling, and outdoor activities such as hiking and golf.
