Jessica A. Nisewonger, OD
Dr. Nisewonger (or Dr. Jessica) is a Central Virginia native, growing up in Chester and residing there still. After graduating from Thomas Dale High School, she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences from James Madison University in 2007. Dr. Jessica then moved to Memphis, TN to attend Southern College of Optometry, and graduated in 2012 with her Doctor of Optometry degree. Before taking ownership of Family Vision Care at the end of 2015, she practiced in Midlothian for three years.
Dr. Jessica enjoys seeing pediatric patients of all ages (as an InfantSEE provider, she examines 6-12 month old babies at no charge) and doing specialty contact lens evaluations for patients who have complicated prescriptions, dry eye, or have had eye surgery. When she’s not at work, Dr. Jessica enjoys spending time with her husband, Josh, and their two year old son Lachlan, as well as their pit bull, Maggie, and two cats! They are avid Steelers fans and enjoy going to NFL games when they can.
Dr. Jessica is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Virginia Optometric Association and the Richmond Optometric Society.

Lateasha has been an integral member of Family Vision Care for over 10 years. She holds a degree in science and manages all day-to-day office operations, including our optical area.
