Dr. Strong is a native Kansan, born in October 1982 and raised in Auburn, KS. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from the University of Kansas (Lawrence, KS) in 2007 and a Doctorate in Optometry at the University of Missouri St. Louis (St. Louis, MO) in 2012. Since 2012 Dr. Strong has worked as a practitioner gaining valuable clinical and business management experience. Before receiving his doctorate at the University of Missouri St. Louis in Optometry, Dr. Strong had participated in many aspects of the eye care industry. In 2011 Dr. Strong traveled to the island of Jamaica for a volunteer medical trip to help the local population whom lacked access to modern eye-care, culminating in helping hundreds of people improve their vision and visual health. He is currently licensed by the Kansas and Missouri State Boards of Optometry. Dr. Strong is trained to recognize a range of health issues; such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetes and hypertension.
Past honors and awards include the William Feinbloom Low Vision Award, Gold Key Honor Society, and Eagle Scout Award. Dr. Strong would be described by his friends as fun-loving and easy to get along with. In addition his hobbies include fishing, water-sking, traveling, and the outdoors. Dr. Strong is an original partner and co-creator of Blue Valley Vision of Overland Park and very much looks forward to helping you and your family with all of your eye-care needs!
