Low Vision

People with ocular pathology should first seek every measure of medical and surgical intervention to improve vision and stabilize the problem. Even with the best of care however, vision may not return to normal. These people need low vision management to maximize their vision to meet their life goals. The doctors at Edmonds Eye Associates have specialized training and many years of experience to treat and manage patents with low vision. The doctors use their unique skills to prove the best focus and then apply prism, magnification and a customized program of rehabilitation. Common problems that our doctors manage can affect central vision with problems like Age Related Macular Degeneration and Diabetic Retinopathy; field of vision with problems like advanced Glaucoma, Optic Neuritis and stroke; or problems of visual coordination as seem in Concussion and Traumatic Brain Injury.
