Dr. Kraupa is the founder and senior partner of the Eye Care Center. While Dr. Kraupa received his BS and Doctor of Optometry degrees from Pacific University in Oregon, he is a life long resident of Minnesota. After receiving his degree, Dr. Kraupa completed extended training in treatment and management of eye disease from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry.
Active in his profession and his community, Dr. Kraupa is past president of the Minnesota Optometric Association, past president of his local Rotary Club and past chairman of the Managed Care Committee of the American Optometric Association. He has presented seminars around the country on the topic of health care reform and managed health care. Dr. Kraupa was honored twice as Minnesota Optometrist of the year - the only person ever to receive this award twice. Currently Dr. Kraupa resides in Shoreview. He has two adult daughters and enjoys sailing in his free time.
