Dr. Hollie Huynh O.D.
Dr. Huynh (pronounced ‘win’) or
as most patients call her Dr. Hollie began her professional education
graduating from University of California, Irvine in 2000 earning a B.S.
Degree in Biological Sciences. She graduated in 2004 from New England
College of Optometry (NECO) in Boston, Massachusetts. At NECO she
balanced her academic and social life by being a Student Advisor, being
very active as a member of the student council board, and winning grants
for “Excellence in Clinical Presbyopia Management”. Dr. Huynh is an
associate for Coastal Vision, NVISION, SoCal Eyes, and Feinerman Vision
Center. She works closely with her patients often attending the surgery
personally to help her patients feel more comfortable with their
surgery.
Dr. Huynh independently established Eastgate Optometry Care in 2006.
She strives to help patients see their best and exceed their
expectations by treating her patients as a part of her family. Her goal
is to help patients understand their eyes enough to maintain their eye
health as needed for their active lifestyles.
When Dr. Huynh is not tending to her active son, Parker and her daughter
Aly, she is coming up with projects to do in the community and helping
with donations to various charities. She also balances her life with
hobbies such as running, playing softball, enjoying broadway shows, and
most importantly spending quality time with her many other family
members and friends. She enjoys cooking for friends and family and
experimenting with new dishes and welcomes conversation to exchange new
recipes.
Ann Pham – Office Manager and Ortho-K Coordinator
Ann
is one of the nicest and most knowledgeable people that you will meet.
She is the best at what she does and brings with her over twelve years
of experience. We are very grateful that Ann is leading our great team
and staff. She loves helping patients pick out the best eyewear for
their look and is so knowledgeable with insurances that she will help
you understand your benefits and guide you through the whole process.
Her goal is to help every patient with their visual needs and to have
patients leave with a smile. Ann is fluent in Vietnamese and has been
serving and educating the Vietnamese community on Orthokeratology since
she started with us. She is always devoted to the practice, however on
her days off she enjoys spending time with her two sons. Ann believes in
a balanced diet so she is a vegetarian by day and enjoys healthy meat
protein by night.
Oscar Barrueta – Lab Manager and Technician
Oscar
is a very skilled and experienced lab technician and he is the manager
of our onsite lab. He is great at repairs and brings with him over 15
years of lab and optical experience. If you want lens and optical
knowledge, he can confidently answer any of your questions. He goes
above and beyond to make sure your jobs are done accurately and in a
timely manner. Oscar is fluent in Spanish and enjoy helping patients
with making sure the frame fits perfectly and that they are seeing
clearly out of their glasses. Oscar loves the Anaheim Angels and enjoys
spending time with his two daughters and wife on his time off. We are
very happy that Oscar decided to join our team.
Denise Nguyen
Denise is the newest member of our team. She is very active in her
community and wishes to attend Optometry School. She loves interacting
with patients and helping them with their eye care needs. She is quick
witted and is a great multi tasker.
Julie Vi
Julie is the sweetheart of our team. She loves helping our manager and
assisting all employees with their tasks. Julie is a smart and
intelligent young woman with a bright future that loves to help you find
your eye wear style.
Rebecca Phung
Rebecca
is one of our senior optometric assistant and she enjoys going to music
concerts and is very involved with her school activities. She loves
working with patients and meeting their vision needs.
Wendy Nguyen
Wendy is the youngest member in our practice and is a student attending
UCI. She brings with her great enthusiasm and always has a smile on her
face. Wendy enjoys working with patients and helping them in all their
visual needs. She loves sending out welcome letters with our signature
lotto tickets and assisting in all areas of the practice. Wendy has a
great personality and is a great asset to the practice. She is currently
applying to attend optometry school.
